Ally Sheedy

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (born June 13th 1962) is an American actor from the United States. Following her film debut in the 1983 film Bad Boys she became known as one of the Brat Pack group of actors and starred in WarGames (1983) The Breakfast Club (1985) as well as Short Circuit (1986). In recognition of her role on Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998) Sheedy was awarded an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Leading Actress. Ally Sheedy is an American actress and an author. Her film debut came by appearing in the crime-drama movie Bad Boys in the early 1980s for which she was quite appreciated. In the film directed by Rick Rosenthal, other well-known actors such as Sean Penn Esai Morales Clancy Brown, and Alan Ruck also appeared. The actress was as a character in The Breakfast Club in 1985 which was a comedic drama which followed her first success. John Hughes' film is considered to be one of the greatest high school films of all time. Even though it had a budget of only $1 million, the movie's profits exceeded $50 million. The actress also appeared on various television shows, including CBS Schoolbreak. This was her TV debut. The show targeted teenagers and first aired in April of 1980. Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid, Hill Street Blues and Chicago Story are a few of the other series in which she has appeared. Her most recent appearances include Little Sister, a film featuring a superhero where Sheedy is a small cameo. Sheedy has won many awards in 2005 due to her work. She also received the by the MTV Movie Award, Silver Bucket of Excellence Award.
